          Job Title:                       Teacher (PreK-4 years old)

          Direct Supervisor(s):     Lower School Principal



The primary function of this position is to teach students in a self-contained classroom with students of varying abilities.


Prince Avenue Christian School (PACS) is a ministry of Prince Avenue Baptist Church (PABC), and the faculty and staff’s conduct reflect on the church and school. Therefore, this employee agrees to always conduct herself or himself in a Godly manner and be under the authority of the school administration and PABC and to abide by the policies and statement of faith thereof. 



  • Work with the lower school principal, academic dean, and current grade-level teachers to ensure that course syllabus and curriculum are up to date for the assigned grade.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver traditional classroom and online instructional activities that facilitate active age-appropriate learning experiences.
  • Develop a rapport with students that motivates and fosters enthusiasm for learning.
  • Creatively integrate technology in the classroom to enhance teaching.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and school goals.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on student work.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress, rehearsals, and productions.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

All faculty and staff are expected to play a formative role in the spiritual lives of students. This includes integration of a biblical worldview into their subject matter and lessons.



  • A committed Christian who is active in an evangelical church ministry.
  • Bachelors or higher degree in elementary education or a closely related field.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, OneNote, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of FACTS Student Information System, and proficiency in 1:1 technology.
