The Raleigh School is a cooperative community of children, parents, and teachers that fosters a love of learning in an atmosphere of challenge, inquiry, and respect. 

The Raleigh School is seeking an experienced upper elementary lead teacher who has a proven history and dedication to working with students in a creative, hands-on, integrated learning environment. Ideal candidates will be knowledgeable of Responsive Classroom, have experience with project-based learning, and possess exceptional communication and organizational skills. They will have a strong understanding of child development and an appreciation for outdoor learning. Additionally, as a parent-participatory school, the lead teacher should be comfortable working with families, partnering with an assistant teacher, and involving parents in classroom activities. 

Qualifications: An elementary lead teacher at The Raleigh School must have received at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college in a related field and/or a degree in Elementary Education. Significant experience is also preferred. Candidates must be willing to partner with parents and work collaboratively with colleagues.
