Lower School Spanish Teacher
There is an August 2025 opening for a full time Lower School Spanish Teacher at Fayetteville Academy.
Position Expectations
The position’s primary responsibility will be the instruction of students in elementary Spanish for grades Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5. The teacher will create interactive lessons that teach students the Spanish language and culture, and provide an immersive experience in the target language through multi-modal, differentiated, and responsive instruction. The candidate will maintain assignments, grades and lesson plans weekly. In addition, the position requires collaborative planning with colleagues for thematic units and cross-curricular projects. Problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, sense of humor, enthusiasm, and collaboration are also important for this position. Effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, and active participation in the expectations of this position are essential.
Educational/Experience Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Spanish education (with a master’s degree preferred) and at least three to five years experience. Independent school experience is preferable but not required.
