Riverside Presbyterian Day School (RPDS), an independent, co-educational elementary school (PreK 3 –Grade 6) in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a full-time Admissions Associate for the 2025–2026 school year. The Admissions Associate is a key member of the Admissions Team, serving as a contact for prospective families and supporting all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment. This individual works closely with the Director of Admissions and represents the School with warmth, professionalism, and a deep commitment to RPDS’s mission and values.
General Responsibilities
● Collaborate as an active and supportive member of the Admissions Team.
● Partner with the Director of Admissions to develop and implement a strategic enrollment plan.
● Serve as a welcoming and professional representative of RPDS.
● Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion throughout the admissions process.
● Embrace a growth mindset and engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with
best practices in independent school admissions.
Prospective Family Support
● Guide prospective families through the admissions process, including scheduling tours, responding to inquiries, and following up on applications.
● Build strong relationships by offering timely, thoughtful, and personalized communication throughout the admissions journey.
● Conduct warm, informative tours for prospective parents, serving as a knowledgeable champion of the School.
● Provide accurate and up-to-date information about the application process, school programs, financial assistance, and state scholarship opportunities.
● Welcome visitors to campus and ensure a hospitable experience.
Admissions Process & File Management
● Create and maintain applicant files, ensuring completeness and accuracy; send reminders to families as needed.
● Coordinate and schedule student visits and assessments in collaboration with teachers and families.
● Conduct admissions assessments for applicants entering PreK 4 through Grade 6, as needed.
● Prepare and organize permanent student records for newly enrolled students.
Administrative & Event Support
● Assist with planning and executing admissions events, including Family Open House, On-Campus
Assessment & Visit Days, Parent Tours, Rams on the Rise gatherings, and welcome events for new families.
● Support admissions communications, including emails, printed materials, outreach campaigns, and website updates.
● Provide administrative support to the Director of Admissions, including calendar management, data entry, and report generation.
● Assist with New Family Ambassadors to support onboarding efforts and foster community connection.
● Monitor and restock office supplies to ensure a well-equipped and welcoming environment.
Technology & Data Management
● Use systems such as Blackbaud, Clarity, and standard office software to manage admissions data and communications.
● Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in admissions and student information databases.
● Prepare and distribute online notifications and physical acceptance letters; manage related mailings throughout the year.
● Assist in maintaining and updating admissions and financial assistance spreadsheets and related documentation.
Other Duties
● Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operation of the School.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Minimum of three years of experience in Admissions or a related field
● Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
● Strong oral and written communication skills
● Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility and composure
● High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
● Experience with admissions or school databases such as Blackbaud and Clarity
