Job Summary:
Landmark Christian School seeks a Godly, energetic High School English Teacher to join our team. We believe the role of the Christian school teacher is to demonstrate through philosophy and lifestyle his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a consistent reflection of Godly character, a heart to meet the needs of young people and a mastery of content and delivery of instruction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and grammar, be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commit to the school's vision, mission and core values
- Live and teach from a Christian worldview
- Intentionally disciple and support students
- Plan and execute clear, creative and innovative lessons appropriate to 21st century learners
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress
- Encourage appropriate behavior in the classroom through effective classroom management
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English or related field
- Teaching certification required
- Experience teaching high school English preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with students and helping them succeed
