The Grandview Faculty values collaboration and inquiry. As well as research-based practices as a community of educational professionals. We seek to create real-world, experiences and learning models to help students connect content and apply skills in a relevant and impactful way. We are seeking team members who embrace an inquiry-based and experiential model for learning that is personalized and competency-based. The humanities team at Grandview, uses an interdisciplinary approach to teach literature, history, research, and communication skills through a variety of inquiry-based approaches. Adventure is a key component of each course.
This position involves daily interaction with Middle and Upper School students as they explore topics in collaboration with other team members cross curricularly, using our essential question as a compass. This bridge helps students bolster literacies, skills, and attributes that will be essential for not only success in Middle/Upper School. Strong candidates will have experience using inquiry-based teaching pedagogies, have a strong belief in competency-based education, and be passionate about student success.

Understanding of Competency-Based Assessment/Mastery Approach to Learning
Knowledge of Inquiry-Based Learning Pedagogies (PBL, VTR, QFT, DT)
Bachelor's degree in area of subject, 6-12 Education, or related field
Teaching and learning experience (3+ Years Preferred)
