Evangelical Christian School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Contemporary Instrumental Music Teacher to build a new instrumental music program from the ground up. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong personality that draws students in, fosters creativity, and cultivates a love for contemporary and instrumental music.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development: Establish and grow a contemporary instrumental music program for grades 7-12.
Instruction: Teach a variety of instruments, including, but not limited to, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and other contemporary and concert instruments.
Rehearsals & Performances: Lead ensembles and prepare students for concerts, competitions, and school events.
Collaboration: Work closely with faculty and administration to integrate music into the school culture.
Student Discipleship: Build meaningful relationships with students and encourage their personal and spiritual growth.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field.
Experience: Preferably 2+ years of experience teaching instrumental music at the secondary level.
Musical Proficiency: Strong expertise in contemporary instruments and music theory, with knowledge of brass, wind, and percussion instruments.
Christian Worldview: A commitment to faith-based education and mentorship.
Desired Traits: Charismatic, innovative, relational, and able to create an engaging learning environment.
