Job Description

SAIS seeks to appoint the position of assistant director of accreditation, effective July 1, 2025. This position reports to the director of accreditation and supports all aspects of the SAIS accreditation process to ensure a high-quality experience for schools and visiting teams.

Critical Responsibilities

  • Provide general accreditation support to schools, including inquiries about membership, portal access and navigation, clarification of standards, etc.
  • Ensure that accreditation resources and training for schools, chairs, and teams are clear, concise, and accessible.
  • Assist with formation of accreditation teams.
  • Monitor accreditation portal to support schools and chairs before and after the preliminary visits to ensure completion and compliance. 
  • Analyze trends in accreditation materials including school reports, visiting team reports, post-visit surveys, and two-year reports.
  • Assist with ongoing accreditation projects and priorities, including but not limited to review and maintenance of the guidebook, portal, standards, and indicators.

Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in independent school administration and/or independent school accreditation team service
