Middle School English and/or Humanities Teacher

Providence Academy is a Christian Independent school that was founded ten years ago with a mission “to provide uncompromising excellence in educating and equipping students with Truth.” The school serves over 250 students in Junior Kindergarten – 8th grade.

In the classroom, teachers are to encourage, motivate, and inspire students through an exceptional educational program infused with a Christian worldview. Students are challenged in all areas of their lives – academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially – as they develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The school seeks a passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, caring, skilled, and creative Middle School English and/or Humanities Teacher.  This individual will engage students and have a deep knowledge and appreciation of teaching subjects from multiple perspectives, applying a Biblical worldview to past and present events, and a commitment to experiential learning. This individual will also serve as an integral member of the Middle School Team working collaboratively and in a collegial manner with others on the team.  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead by influence are important to help Providence Academy increase its inquiry-based, student-centered, interdisciplinary learning environment. Willingness to participate in professional learning committees, advising, and coaching is desired.
