Springmont, a private PK-8 Montessori school in Sandy Springs, seeks an Elementary (grades 4-6) Teacher’s Assistant to begin January 3, 2024. This is a full-time position with compensation commensurate with experience, starting at $16 hourly, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and professional development and retirement savings opportunities.
Assistants supervise children at recess and lunch and support the classroom community, responding to the Teacher’s directions and reinforcing community routines and expectations.
The ideal candidate is warm, reliable, organized, and flexible and possesses good written and verbal communication skills and facility with technology. Experience with children is preferred. Previous experience in a Montessori environment is not required; however, candidates must be willing to learn about and implement Montessori classroom practices.
