Job Description

Job Summary

Lake Highland seeks an Associate Director of Primary Grades to assist the Director of Lower School in supervising the day-to-day operations of approximately 450 PreKindergarten - 2nd Grade students. This position works closely with the members of the Lower School leadership team to implement the school’s vision, mission, and initiatives. Key responsibilities include supporting research-based best teaching practices, partnering closely with students and families, evaluating faculty and staff, and assisting in disciplinary matters.

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution or the international equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in education required.
  • Classroom teaching experience in PreKindergarten - 2nd Grade environment required.
  • Experience in the implementation of professional development programs required.
  • A demonstrated commitment to teamwork/collaboration required.
  • Administrative certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in evaluating faculty/staff preferred.
  • Previous work experience in educational leadership role(s)preferred.
