Job Description
Chatham Hall is seeking an experienced Head of School who is passionate, outgoing, dynamic and prepared to engage fully in the everyday life of the beloved School. The Head of School at Chatham Hall is officially known as the “Rector,” a tradition drawn from the School’s Episcopal heritage. The next Rector must believe in the importance of girls’ education, as well as demonstrate understanding of the complexities of leading a boarding and day school community. The next Rector must appreciate the thoughtful traditions and experiences of the Chatham Hall community, while at the same time balancing the goals and expectations that must be carried out with the current strategic plan. This next leader must possess strong communications skills and have an excellent understanding of admissions as well as fundraising. In partnership with the Board of Trustees, the next Rector is responsible for communicating the mission and objectives of the school, as well as maintaining a strong sense of community, and actively participate in all aspects of campus life.
