POSITION SUMMARY:


As an integral part of The Galloway School’s Development team and the Galloway community, the Development Coordinator will help increase the capacity of fundraising by assisting with the day-to-day operations of the department. Reporting to the Director of Development, this individual will provide broad support in various key areas including Annual Fund, Capital Campaign, Event Management, and Communications support.

Primary responsibilities will include providing daily support with Development office
operations, assisting with special fundraising and community engagement events, facilitating GOAL state tax credit program communications, coordinating development related marketing and social network needs, and other administrative tasks and projects within the Development Department.

The successful candidate will be eager to learn, self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and creative, with strong communication skills. This individual must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with team members and the external community. Strong project management skills and accountability in meeting deadlines and juggling multiple projects is essential.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Development Team
  • Assist in the creation and production of Development related collateral materials,
    annual reports, and appeals
  • Facilitate the GOAL Tax Credit Program for Galloway
  • Work in partnership with the team to provide support for Annual Fund Campaign and Capital Campaign gift management and volunteer coordination
  • Provide support in creating content and design for development related print and digital communication materials
  • Work with the Development team to coordinate a variety of fundraising, community engagement, volunteer driven, and donor stewardship events throughout the year.  Assist with event logistics, contacting vendors, pre-event planning, day of tasks, and post-event tasks
  • Provide ongoing support to the Development team

 

Qualifications:

  • Team player with a positive attitude and collaborative approach
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Google platforms, and email
    marketing programs
  • Experience using Canva, social media management software, and Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge is a plus
  • Event planning experience desired
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands
  • Strong initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities
  • Must be able to work in an environment of constant demands and frequent
    interruptions
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral, and presentation) and relate well to parents, faculty, staff, and others while maintaining appropriate confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and
    dedication to the mission of the school
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to serve in a 12-month role, with some evenings and weekends required. Weekly schedule is 7:30 am-3:30 pm Monday-Friday
