St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a full-time middle school science teacher and advisor. A successful teacher leader in this position is committed to experiential and interdisciplinary science learning and has the capacity to foster curiosity and wonder within a student-centered learning environment. This role relies on someone who collaborates effectively with members of the middle school science department and the middle school faculty as a whole. Candidates ought to be confident, flexible, and passionate about teaching and learning. Full-time classroom teaching experience, strong organizational and classroom management skills, and the ability to joyfully teach middle school children are required. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching middle school-aged students in a standards-based learning environment (SBL) and hold a master's degree in education, science, or a related field.
As an independent school, we value community involvement and expect that the selected candidate will serve as a coach, and/or engage in student-centered extracurricular programming beyond the classroom.
