Position Purpose:
The primary function of this position is to safeguard and protect individuals and assets, providing a safe, secure, and nurturing learning environment for the Landmark Christian School community.
Essential Functions:
Safety & Security
■ Provides a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and guests on campus.
■ Identifies, evaluates, controls, and minimizes the school's exposure to injury of students, employees, parents, and visitors
■ Secure premises and personnel by conducting campus patrols and inspecting
buildings, windows, and doors to ensure locks are in place and working.
■ Investigate, compose, and submit accurate incident/accident reports for all incidents as well as suspicious activity.
■ Direct and control traffic entering and exiting campus in high volume at times.
■ Provide access control at all campus access points.
■ Enforce campus safety & security protocols.
■ Respond to alarms and dispatched calls.
■ Complete Daily Activity Reports.
■ Provide assistance as needed to individuals on campus.
■ May be assigned to front desk security and video monitoring as needed.
■ Develop and maintain positive relations with students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors.
General:
■ Acts as a member of the campus on-all duty rotation
■ Participates as a member of the safety and security task force team
■ Monitors policies and procedures on campus safety and security to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and insurance regulations.
■ Provides basic first aid and medical attention as appropriate.
■ Maintains productive working relationships with the local police, fire, and emergency management agencies.
■ Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
■ High School Diploma or equivalent.
■ Minimum of two-years’ experience and knowledge of security operations and safety practices.
■ Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
■ Computer skills that include: Checking emails, Security TV Monitoring, Written Incident Reporting.
■ Hold a valid and current state-issued driver’s license
■ Hold a current certification in first aid, CPR & AED (will train)
■ Communicates well, works congenially, and deals effectively with all school personnel and families, as
well as with the larger business and educational community.

■ Must hold a valid gun permit and legally be able to carry a fire arm
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
■ Must be able to work outside in seasonal temperatures and conditions.
■ Must have the flexibility to work during both daylight and evening hours as needs arise.
■ Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
■ Must be willing and able to assist in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury).
■ Must possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campus.
■ Reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, and moving light equipment are required.
