Lake Highland Preparatory School’s Middle School (MS) seeks an exceptional and experienced candidate to serve as a Dean of Students. This dynamic and innovative individual works closely with the Director of the MS to provide support to students, faculty and staff, parents, and other members of the MS Administrative Team. This individual contributes to a culture of collaboration and innovation at Lake Highland and supports the Director of the MS in providing supervision duties, conducting teacher and student observations, and leading the character development program through the MS advisory program. Additionally, the Dean of Students cultivates and develops an understanding of the school’s Mission Statement and Honor Code and its role in our daily lives. Among other duties, the MS Dean of Students ensures a safe and orderly learning environment for the individual student, teacher, and school community as a whole; supports the faculty in the enforcement and documentation of school policies regarding student discipline during the school day and school-sponsored activities; and enforces the discipline policy and procedure as written in the Lake Highland MS Student Handbook. This is a 12-month, full-time, benefited position which begins on July 1, 2023.

Education/Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field from an accredited institution. Candidates should have a minimum of eight years of related experience in the education field with teaching experience preferably in the Middle School setting.
