Charlotte Latin School seeks an Upper School English Teacher for a full-time, 10-month position that will begin in August 2023. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in canonical English literature and the liberal arts, a readiness to teach English literature, grammar, and composition in a variety of courses in grades 9-12, and a desire to work with Upper School students. Additional responsibilities may include sponsoring extra-curricular activities, advising, and/or coaching.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; master’s or doctoral degree highly preferred
Experience teaching English is required
Experience teaching a wide variety of course levels is preferred
Experience teaching in an independent school is preferred
