St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a full-time teacher of a Grades K -4 homeroom class for the 2023-2024 school year. A homeroom teacher in Grades K - 4 is responsible for planning and delivering curriculum including morning meetings in the philosophy of Responsive Classroom and homeroom instruction including reading and language arts, writing workshop, social studies, and Singapore math instruction. A successful candidate for this position is a relational educator who is growth-minded and seeks to stimulate critical thinking and creativity and promote agency. We seek a collaborative and innovative colleague with experience in curriculum design, student-initiated and inquiry-based learning, and standards-based assessment. Full-time elementary school teaching experience, strong classroom management skills, and a love for teaching young children are required. A master’s degree in reading, math, or education is preferred. St. Anne’s-Belfield affirms the enduring value of educating the whole child.
