Middle School and Upper School Athletic Trainer
Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, located in the heart of East Cobb, is seeking a part-time Middle & Upper School Athletic Trainer to provide medical athletic training services to our student athletes under the direction of the Athletic Director. Based on background experience, this position could include other duties as outlined below.

The ideal candidate would have:
To be in full agreement with MBCA’s Statement of Faith & Doctrinal Statements, and have a passion for Christ-centered instruction
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field; master’s degree preferred
Successful experience in assisting with managing or directing of athletic programs at a school
Preferred experience in a GHSA affiliated school in the classroom, athletics, or athletic administration
Preferred current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification
Preferred current licensure in accordance with the Georgia Board of Athletic Trainers and CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care
The ideal candidate is able to:
Assist athletic staff with the supervision of practices, scrimmages, and games
Establish relationships and effectively communicate with both students and adults.
Provide coverage for Upper School and Middle School athletic programs and assist the Athletic Director in the daily operation of the athletic department.
Provide coverage at home events and practices from the beginning of the fall sport season to the conclusion of the spring season (20 hours a week at practice plus home games).
Practice the prevention, care, and rehabilitation of injuries incurred through athletic participation with the use of physical modalities.
Maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments, and provide insurance claim forms for sports injuries treated by a physician.
Facilitate communication between athletes, coaches, parents, and MBCA Administration concerning the health and physical status of athletes following the Matthew 18 principle.
Be able to oversee the ordering of supplies and equipment pertaining to the athletic training room and maintain an up-to-date inventory; provide the Athletic Director with an annual budget for these supplies.
