Charlotte Latin School has an immediate need for a Data Systems Manager. The Data Systems Manager supervises numerous data systems and networks. Duties include organizing, storing, and analyzing school data as professionally and effectively as possible while safeguarding the school’s security and confidentiality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide institutional support for campus data systems, VeraCross, Blackbaud, Senior Systems, SFTP, and other attributable data systems.
Manage database user accounts and profile data for students, employees, and parents.
Coordinate, oversee, and document processes. VeraCross, Finalsite Portals (Parent, Student, and Employee), SSO link management for school web integration).
Support data integrations between various database products used at CLS:
Senior Systems, VeraCross, and Blackbaud to Finalsite, Magnus Health; LMS; BBConnect, etc.
Ensure data integrity between systems.
Manage the SFTP server for data export packages (automated export).
Provide support for the Learning Management System, Canvas.
Provide data reports from aggregated sources as requested.
Provide support for data compliance initiatives (e.g., GDPR, security.)
Support office staff in charge of data for that department.
Act as technical support with campus-wide data software systems, both new and existing.
Create and execute data import and export transfer protocols
Develop tutorials, identify online resources, and design and deliver training workshops for end-users.
Support end-users of data systems on campus with all functions of the School Management System: provide timely guidance, technical support, and resources to maximize productivity and functionality.
Support parent volunteer associations, faculty, and offices campus-wide in online enrollment, data collection, online forms, school directories, billing, and IT projects.
Collaborate with Information Technology Support (ITS) staff on tasks as needed.
Work outside “normal” office hours, including evenings, weekends, and early mornings to perform any needed upgrades or enhancements.
Seek professional development opportunities.
Maintain professional relationships with vendors.
Collaborate with other school data systems administrators.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field preferred
Experience with Blackbaud, VeraCross, Senior Systems, Finalsite, Google Workspace, and Active Directory preferred.
Project management experience managing a large-scale software roll-out project, from start to finish
Experience in an independent school environment a plus
