English Teacher - Middle & High School

As an English teacher, you will be responsible for instructing students about the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Teaching responsibilities: Middle School and/or Upper School classes. 

The ideal candidate will have experience leading and developing cross curricular, inquiry-based learning with an emphasis on developing 21st century skills. Most qualified candidates will be accustomed to personalizing the academic experience and be able to show evidence of student growth. This position requires extensive collaboration and leadership with all stakeholders.

• Develop, plan, and integrate inquiry-based learning 

• Focus on the development of 21st-century skills, technology as a tool to amplify learning, and personalized attention with a focus on whole-child development per our school mission 

• Daily use of RenWeb and Google Apps for maintaining records with regard to grading, attendance, discipline, email, and other important organizational functions

• Confident in one’s ability to create and and engage with students through live instruction and remote learning modalities

• Confident in navigating online learning platforms

• Collaboration with the administration regarding meaningful teacher and student use of educational tools and resources to support learning outcomes
