Job Description
Saint Patrick Catholic School in Norfolk, VA is currently seeking middle school teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and above in the applicable field of education from an accredited college or university with knowledge of child development and the learning process. Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate must also meet the Commonwealth of Virginia’s state certification requirements in the appropriate field of education.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of child development, content expertise, and curriculum and policies; commitment to the belief that all students can learn characterized by appropriate management strategies that meet the needs of students; and instructional techniques that integrate reading, writing, math, faith, and technology throughout the content areas is essential.
- Individuals must possess the ability to self-reflect on instructional practices and personal interactions for continuous improvement; work effectively with administrators, colleagues, students, parents, and the community demonstrating organizational agility; and excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
- The teacher must be committed to serving as an advocate, a role model, and a supporter of students and the school.
- Experience teaching or working with digital technologies in the classroom

Saint Patrick Catholic School has an enrollment of 400 students in grades PreK through eighth grade, with the middle school comprising approximately 160 students in grades five through eight. Our committed faculty and staff, in partnership with parents, serve as role models and mentors.
