About Westminster Academy
Established in 1996, Westminster Academy is Memphis, Tennessee’s only classical Christian school. Accredited by the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), Westminster has a missional enrollment of 445 students in JK through 12th grade. The school’s foundation is the cultivation of virtue and wisdom by nourishing the soul on truth, goodness, and beauty according to God’s Revelation using the classical liberal arts. Its curriculum is rigorous and college-preparatory, and all required classes are taught at the honors level. With a faculty to student ratio of 1:8, WA students enjoy personal attention and meaningful relationships with their teachers and peers. All teachers have a love for the Lord, their students, their subject, and bring Christ into the classroom with enthusiasm. Westminster’s faculty are life-long learners and have over 200 years of combined classical Christian education experience. With over 400 graduates since 2000, WA’s alumni have gone on to attend colleges and universities around the world.
