Ravenscroft School

Our Mission Statement
The Ravenscroft community, guided by our legacy of excellence, nurtures individual potential and prepares students to thrive in a complex and interdependent world.
Ravenscroft serves students in PreKindergarten through 12th grade and is divided into three divisions: Lower School, Middle School and Upper School, each with individual division heads. The enrollment of the school is approximately 1,250 students. In addition to our mission statement, we are guided in our work by our citizen leadership framework, Lead From Here; by our commitment to cultivating an inclusive and welcoming community for all students and families, faculty and staff, and alumni; and by the vision of our strategic plan.
Community, Culture and Belonging
At the core of Ravenscroft’s mission to “nurture individual potential and prepare students to thrive in a complex and interdependent world” is a deep commitment to create and sustain a community where all Ravens — students, faculty and staff, alumni and families — are respected, feel safe and have a sense of belonging.
Academics
The work our outstanding teachers do in each of our three divisions — Lower School, Middle School and Upper School — is bolstered by the support of our Library & Technology Department; our cross-divisional Innovation, Design and Engineering (IDE) team; the specialists in our Learning and Enrichment Program (LEAP); and the college-admissions experts in the Upper School’s College Counseling office.
Fine Arts
Ravenscroft's Fine Arts facilities include the 454-seat Christina B. Jones Theatre and the 180-seat black-box young peoples' theatre. Students can choose from offerings in voice, strings, band, photography, drama, visual arts, and a variety of instrumental ensembles.
Athletics
Ravenscroft's Athletic department offers 25 sports, and fields 53 teams in those sports at the Middle School, junior varsity, and varsity levels.
