Middle School Math is offered five days a week as a forty minute core course utilizing the Big Ideas Math curriculum. The position teaches six periods (two sixth grade, two seventh grade, two eighth grade) of an eight period day and there are two duty free forty minute planning periods daily.  Weekly faculty meetings occur on Wednesdays, which are early release days for that purpose. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education Math or a related field.  Experience teaching Middle Grade students is preferred. A strong candidate will be engaging, will have mastered creative and diverse methods of teaching, learning, and assessment, will demonstrate a knowledge of current pedagogy and will be familiar with the use of technology in the instructional setting.
