Position: Lower/Middle School Physical Education Teacher & Coach Status: Full-time Reports to: Head of School
LaGrange Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Physical Education teacher and coach to lead our Lower and Middle School PE program for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position combines a passion for fitness and child development with a strong commitment to character-building, sportsmanship, and whole-child education.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Duties:
Design and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
Teach fundamental motor skills, fitness concepts, and healthy habits in age-appropriate ways.
Differentiate instruction to meet varying ability levels, using multi-modal strategies.
Foster a love of movement, teamwork, and personal goal-setting.
Use assessment tools to track and communicate student progress.
