Start Date:  July 1, 2023 Job Goal: The high school counselor works to further Pope John Paul II Preparatory School’s mission of developing students that are strong in mind, body, character, and spirit. The high school counselor must have a deep commitment to holistic student development and an enthusiasm for working with adolescents in a Catholic community. This position will serve as the primary high school counselor for approximately 175 students, which includes college planning, academic support, and brief individual counseling. The high school counselor is also responsible for collaborating with other counseling team members and faculty/staff and consulting with parents/guardians in an academic setting. As a counseling team, we look to help each student foster academic independence, empathy for self and others, and various post-secondary opportunities.
